Orthodox Christian Fellowship Makes the Most of Spring Break with Real Break 2023

BROOKLINE, MA — Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF), the official campus ministry agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States, announces Real Break 2023 with trips to California, and Puerto Rico planned for March 2023.

Real Break provides college students ages 18-25 with the opportunity to engage the Orthodox faith through trips of pilgrimage and service. Students travel during Spring Break to participate in the work of the Church alongside the ministries, monasteries, parishes, and people of each host city.

Real Break participants will have the opportunity to serve alongside Orthodox ministries including Misión Ortodoxa San Juan Clímaco, Techos Pa’ Mi Gente, and Holy Assumption Monastery of Calistoga, California. Additionally, students will visit notable Orthodox sites, such as Fort Ross, the first Orthodox chapel in the lower 48 states, and the incorrupt relics of St. John of San Francisco at the Holy Virgin Cathedral “Joy of All Who Sorrow”.

Alexis Friesen, Real Break Student Leader, invites fellow-students to experience Real Break 2023 with these words: “Be brave and choose to go on a Real Break! By God’s grace, OCF is offering trips for students to dive deep into their faith by exploring the lives of the saints, serving one-another, and seeing Orthodoxy outside of their family and parish lives. This inspiring week, filled with faith, will leave students spiritually rejuvenated and with eyes wide open to see His grace, mercy, and love at home.”

Registration for Real Break is open now and continues through January 15, 2023. The cost to attend varies by trip. Students will receive fundraising resources when they register for a trip. For more details, visit https://www.ocf.net/real-break/
