New York, NY – On behalf of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Archbishop Elpidophoros expresses his deep condolences to the Orthodox Church in America for the falling asleep of Archbishop Nikon.

In a letter to Metropolitan Tikhon, Archbishop Elpidophoros expressed, “It is my fervent prayer and hope that the soul of Archbishop Nikon is appointed a place among the saints free from pain, sorrow and suffering. I pray that his work in Christ’s vineyard is fondly remembered and acts as the foundation for the faithful to continue to strengthen the witness of Christ’s holy Church.”
