Feastday of St. John Chrysostom – November 13, 2021

On Saturday, November 13, 2021 the Orthodox Faithful from throughout the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey gathered together for the Feastday Celebration of St. John Chrysostom, the Patron Saint of the Metropolis of New Jersey. The Divine Liturgy held at the St. John Chrysostom Headquarters in Westfield, New Jersey was presided by His Eminence, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America together with the Chancellor, V. Rev. Christoforos Oikonomidis and Deacon Philotheos. His Eminence was warmly welcomed to the Metropolis by His Grace, Bishop Apostolos of Medeia who expressed the love and respect of the Clergy and Laity for His Eminence while offering the continued commitment of the faithful of the Metropolis to our Sacred Archdiocese. His Eminence followed by offering words of praise to His Grace and to Fr. Christoforos for their leadership and guidance in continuing the many great works and ministries offered by the Metropolis of New Jersey. Following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros offered the Affirmation of Office to the newly elected board members of the Metropolis of New Jersey Philoptochos Sisterhood.
