Faith Matters Newsletter: April/May

Dear Friends,
Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen!
We pray that this newsletter continues to find you and your loved ones well, safe and in good health.
As we concluded our spiritual journey through Great Lent, inspired by the uplifting days of Holy Week, we are now reinvigorated by a special joy having witnessed Christ’s resurrection. It is with this spirit of renewal that I am glad to share with you the many achievements of the Department during the last few weeks.
We recently launched a “How-to” Green Your Parish Video Series. Once a week, we will be sharing tips on how to be better stewards of creation and better stewards of our communities. We are also very grateful to all our partners for their essential collaboration either during our “Faith in Freedom” Series, celebrating the 200thAnniversary of the Greek Revolution, or by allowing us to present the work of the Department on the protection of the environment, as well as discuss social issues in ecumenical settings. I would like to make a special note here for our upcoming webinar with His Excellency Ambassador George Prevelakis on “The Place of the Greek Revolution in Today’s Greek Identity”, on May 19, at 12PM ET (see below for more information).
Finally, Rev. John Chryssavgis, Nicholas Anton and Spyridoula Fotinis, join me in congratulating all our Orthodox Christian friends that celebrate Pascha these days, with a greeting of joy and hope in the Risen Lord.
Happy reading!
Respectfully yours,
Rev. Nicolas Kazarian
Director, Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical & Interfaith Relations
