GOYAns Visit HCHC

The Long Island InterGOYA of the Archdiocesan District visited our beloved Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology from May 13th to May 15th, 2022   One hundred and thirty GOYAns representing seven parishes went on a tour of historic Boston, visiting the Massachusetts State House, Fenway Park, the Freedom Trail, and Faneuil Hall, ending their first day with a Boston Duck Tour!   The group participated in the Divine Liturgy at Holy Cross Chapel, received by His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nanzianzos, Director of the Religious Education Department, Dr Timothy Patitsas, Dean of Hellenic College, and Fr. Michael Kouremetis, Chaplain.  The visiting students were given a tour of the beautiful HCHC Campus and Maliotis Cultural Center.  The campus students and staff showed beautiful hospitality to the visiting GOYAns as HCHC prepares for Commencement this coming weekend.  Visiting parishes from Long Island included the Cathedral of St. Paul, Hempstead, with their Associate Pastor Rev. Fr. Constantin Ursache - Holy Trinity, Hicksville - Assumption Church, Port Jefferson - St. Markella, Wantagh - St. Paraskevi, Greenlawn - St. Nicholas, West Babylon, with their Priest, Rev. Fr. Demetrios Kazakis.
