Launching of the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the National Council of Churches

On Monday, May 15, 2023, His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzos represented His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America at the 75th Anniversary Celebration Launch of the National Council of Churches (NCC) that convened at the National City Christian Church in Washington, DC. Rev. Nicolas Kazarian, Ecumenical Officer of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, also participated. Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, NCC President and General Secretary, offered a powerful message about putting faith in action. The chanting was offered by the Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church Choir of Fr. Washington, MD. This launch was part of the spring meeting of the NCC Governing Board.
