His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros Visits Denver for the Enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America is in Denver, Colorado for the Enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver taking place on Saturday, June 22. 2024. On Friday evening, June 21, he met with Metropolis clergy, presbyteras and their families at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church for a dinner. Also in Denver for the Enthronement is Patriarchal Representative His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago (Locum Tenens for the Metropolis of Denver), His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, and Their Graces Bishops Athenagoras of Nazianzos, Nektarios of Diokleia, and Thomas of the Antiochian Church. Metropolitan Gregory officiated at the service and presented Fr. Louis Christopulos with the Offikion of Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, honoring him for his dedication and work for the Metropolis of Denver and for his ministry, saying, "At this point allow me to recognize an exemplary clergyman of our Sacred Archdiocese, and together his entire family. He has offered 46 years of sterling ministry, worthy of emulation. I am referring to none other than your chancellor, Fr. Lou Christopoulos, a man of service, a man of love, a man of patience. Fr. Lou it is abundantly clear from your life’s accomplishments that you are a man whose footsteps are guided by your trust in the Lord. You always answer the call of service wherever the Church needs you to be a steadfast pillar of hope, guidance, strength and relief for every person made in the image and likeness of God."
