Festival of Faith at the Diakonia Retreat Center

The Metropolis of Atlanta Religious Education Committee was blessed to host the Festival of Faith at the Diakonia Retreat Center on the weekend of February 25th & February 26th, 2022.

Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa was the Keynote Speaker, sharing ways to "Raise Children in an Orthodox Environment" and provided numerous examples of the importance of being a Christian example and spending time with our children through adulthood.  Bishop Sevastianos spiritually led this 1st Festival of Faith and presided at Divine Liturgy on Sunday. The participants were enriched by Fr. Nick Louh's presentation on "Renewing You", Hank Hanegraaff's personal reflections on his journey to Orthodoxy as part of his talk on "The Unexpected Beauty of an Authentic Christian Life'', Fr. Andreas Houpos' discussion on "Sacramental Living" and  Dr. and Mrs. Mamalakis reflections on "Prayer and Family Life."
