V. Rev. Archimandrite Chrysostom Onyekakeyah, Project Coordinator for Mission and Outreach Development for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidoforos of America, attended the 29th Annual National Conference of the Fellowship of Saint Moses the Black held between October 14-16, 2022, at the parish of St. Moses the Black Orthodox church in Pittsburgh, PA with the theme “Baptizing Culture”. The Mission of the Fellowship is to equip Orthodox Christians for the ministry of Racial Reconciliation, and to share the Orthodox Christian Faith with African Americans and all people of color.

In his remarks delivered, Fr. Chrysostom expressed the importance of the Conference theme as it covers the extensive need to enculturate those African values and traditions in the light of the Orthodox faith. He underlined the growing commitment and interest of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in extending Orthodox Christian evangelism towards African Americans and all people of color. This effort is supported by a grant from The Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Endowment Fund.

The annual conference which has continued to foster healing and reconciliation among the American nation, as well as preach salvation for all in Christ, was attended by members and friends of the Fellowship of Saint Moses the Black from many parts of the United States.
