On September 1st, the Day for the Protection of our Natural Environment, we invite you to celebrate the beauty of God’s creation by engaging with our “How-to” Green Your Parish video series. New content is available below. Earnestly we pray for the natural world, especially in regard to the recent wildfires ravaging our beloved Greece. Keep scrolling to learn how we must act with haste to heal our planet!
In July we were blessed to co-host an Ecumenical Prayer Service at the Saint Sophia Orthodox Cathedral in Washington, D.C., lamenting the reconversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque. We also honored the installation of His Eminence Archbishop Emilio Alvarez of the Union of Charismatic Orthodox Churches in Rochester, NY. These events remind us that praising God in solidarity with Christians of various traditions is a powerful way to cultivate relationships with our brethren in Christ.
Wishing you all a blessed Feast of Indiction as we begin the new ecclesiastical year,
Prayerfully yours,
Protopresbyter Nicolas Kazarian, Ph.D.
Director, Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical & Interfaith Relations
