Department of Internet Ministries and the Orthodox Marketplace Launch Free Online Bookstore Program for Parishes

This program was discontinued in July 2015.

New York — The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministries and the Orthodox Marketplace are pleased to announce the launch of the Free Online Bookstore program, which provides parishes with an online bookstore at no cost.

The free program is available to all parishes in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and is intended to enhance each parish’s ministry by providing their parishioners with an online resource for books, icons, music, DVDs and gifts related to the Orthodox Christian faith and life. Because a parish’s online store is available anytime, it will also serve as an extension and compliment to local parish bookstores. Purchases made through this program will directly support both the local parish and the national ministries of the Archdiocese.

The Department of Internet Ministries is dedicated to assisting Greek Orthodox parishes in the United States use technology for the proclamation of the Good News of the Gospel and for the advancement of Orthodox Christian ministry. More information about the programs and services offered by the Department is available at http://internet.goarch.org.

The Orthodox Marketplace is the official online store of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and offers hundreds of products such as books, icons, music, jewelry and specialty gifts for Orthodox Christians. The Orthodox Marketplace is available at http://www.orthodoxmarketplace.com.
