GARRISON, N.Y. – On Nov. 5 the Center for Family Care sponsored its third annual Archbishop Michael Memorial Men’s Retreat at St. Basil Academy, led by Bishop Sevastianos of Zela.

He offered the presentation “Exploring Our Roles as Fathers and Sons.” Clergy and laymen from the greater New York area gathered for a wonderful day of spiritual edification and fellowship. A memorial service for Archbishop Michael of America, who is interred at St. Basil Academy, also took place.

The event was developed as part of the Center for Family Care’s Philadelphia initiative. It aims to provide men of the Archdiocese with a platform for spiritual formation through multifaceted programming.

The mission of Philadelphia is to foster the basic characteristics of the Faith and its practice for men to intentionally engage their roles in Church, home, and society.
