Memorial Conference on Bishop Gerasimos

The Memorial Conference on Bishop Gerasimos Papadopoulos,  Bishop of Abydos, Elder of America will take place on  October 19-20, 2021 at the Maliotis Cultural Center on the campus of HCHC. 

The Conference will  feature a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, followed with a Memorial Service for Bishop Gerasimos of Abydos, and the Premier viewing of the Documentary: “Bishop Gerasimos of Abydos: Spiritual Elder of America,” produced by Nicholas Furris. 

The Conference also features six speakers: His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, formerly on America: “The Elder as Bishop in America”; Fr. Filotheos Papadopoulos: “The Elder as a Youth and the Early Years as a Monastic”; Fr. Athanasios Melissaris: “The Elder and His Theological Studies”; Fr. Alkiviadis Calivas: “The Elder and His Years at Holy Cross”; Fr. Theodore Stylianopoulos: “The Elder as Interpreter of the New Testament”; Dr. John Fotopoulos: “The Elder as Spiritual Father.”
