GOYA Lenten Retreat Held at Annunciation Church
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, one hundred Goyans from the Westchester-Connecticut Vicariate of the Archdiocesan District gathered on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Annunciation Church in Stamford, CT for a Lenten Retreat focusing on our “Journey to Pascha.”
Fr. Michael Palamara offered a presentation focusing on the Gospel accounts of Zacchaeus and the Publican and Prodigal Son. Fr. George Hazlaris spoke about forgiveness and repentance as seen through the Gospel accounts of the Prodigal Son and Just Judgement. Fr. Nicholas Delaveris led a discussion on how to combat digital and technological addictions during Great Lent. The Retreat concluded with a presentation by Fr. Evan Evangelides and Fr. Demetrios Balidis focusing on developing a Christ centered life.
