New York - Following his statement concerning the recognition of FYROM as “Republic of Macedonia”, Archbishop Demetrios of America, sent a letter yesterday to the re-elected President of the United States, George W. Bush.

In this letter Archbishop Demetrios expressed his deep sadness for this occurrence and, based on historic and current facts, asked for the reconsideration of this recognition and the promotion of a solution that would be secured through the ongoing efforts of the United Nations for a name deemed acceptable by Greece and FYROM.
