You are a Member of the Body of Christ

We are pleased to provide you and your Stewardship Team with these 2011 Stewardship Resources. This is the first step in a year-round effort to provide practical and inspiring stewardship resources for the parish. These are mailed to the parishes in hard copy in September. 

For 2011 we continue the theme of Come and See, and explore the idea of membership in the Church, the Body of Christ. To be a member of the Church is not the same as being a member of a club or civic group. The Church is the “Body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12). Therefore, to be a member of the Church is to be a part of the living body of Christ. We invite all to Come and See what the Church can become with their active participation.

Stewardship Ministry Practical Steps Booklet

This booklet contains guidelines for preparation of a parish Stewardship Program, updated letters, a sample commitment card and new member card, various campaign formats and ideas for parish stewardship ministry. (Adobe PDF or Word DOC)

Body of Christ Brochure 

This tri-fold brochure explores the theme of membership in the Body of Christ, and serves as an insert in your stewardship communications or as a resource to be offered during stewardship visitations. (Adobe PDF or Word DOC)

Planned Giving Resources

Planned Giving resources are being developed by the Stewardship Commission in cooperation with the Office of Parish Development. The initial resource are two brochures and a poster that encourage people to consider whether they have included the Church in their estate planning, and directs them to their priest for guidance.

Council of Ministries
