The common Mother of all Orthodox, the Church of Christ, the Body of our eternal Lord and divine-human Jesus Christ, compassionately ministers through all of its activities but especially through the Divine Eucharist, by offering its holy gifts to their Creator in the mystery of salvation. It does this with proven boundless and indiscriminate love toward all of its members to the degree also demonstrated by our heavenly Father.

As we commemorate this Feast of the Indiction, the beginning of the new ecclesiastical year, we ask our great and merciful God to “bless the crown of this year which His goodness has allowed us to begin” (Hymn of Orthros). It is His goodness and grace that has brought us to the beginning of one more ecclesiastical year and to another blessed cycle of the feasts and observances of our Holy Orthodox Faith. In anticipation of the marvelous and wonderful things our Lord will accomplish in our lives, parishes, and families, we look forward to the blessings that will come through our worship, prayer, and service.

2015 Parish Ecclesiastical Calendars Offered by Archdiocese
Orders are now being taken for the 2015 Parish Ecclesiastical Calendars, an annual resource published by the Department of Communications of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The Calendar will feature full-color icons, the names of Saints in Greek and English, a fasting guide, and daily Scripture readings and commemorations following the liturgical protocol of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Camp Saint Paul Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Camp Saint Paul celebrates its 10th Anniversary since its establishment as the camping youth ministry of the Direct Archdiocesan District. The success of this program is paralleled by the other camping programs across the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. This 10th anniversary year, the program hosted more than 600 campers in its four weeks of operation.
Resolutions of the 42nd Clergy Laity Congress
The 42nd Clergy Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which convened in Philadelphia, Pa., July 6-10, 2014 approved six resolutions: 1) on Family, 2) on the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at the new World Trade Center, 3) on religious Freedom presented by the Order of St. Andrew – Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, 4) on the treat and protection of Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East, 5) a resolution regarding the environment, and 6) a general resolution of thanks.
