Ionian Village

NEW YORK – Ionian Village, the unique summer camping program located in Greece and operated by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, is excited to announce registration is now open for the following 2011 Ionian Village programs:

*  Summer 2011 Camp
·     Summer Travel Camp (STC):  June 29 – July 18, 2011
·     Byzantine Venture (BV):  July 25 – August 13, 2011

*  2010 Camper & Staff Reunion: Boston, MA; April 29 – May 1, 2011

*  Ionian Village:  Journey to Pascha: April 16 - 25, 2011

*  Spiritual Odyssey for Young Adults ages 19-28:  May 30 – June 9, 2011

2011 Counselor, Clergy and Medical Staff Applications for Summer 2011 are still being accepted. Completed applications are due postmarked by February 1, 2011.

Faith Scholarship Applications for Summer 2011 are also available. Completed applications are due postmarked by April 1, 2011.

Participants in the Ionian Village programs travel across Greece, venerate the relics of saints, walk in the footsteps of the Apostles, and visit significant sites of Greek history and culture. At the end of the program, staff and campers return to their homes with strengthened faith and a greater appreciation for the Church and Greek culture.
