Leondis, who has served as Chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America since September 20, 1996, will return to parish ministry beginning June 1, 1997.Father Leondis has offered to the Church and the Archdiocese a distinguished ministry in the parishes of the Annunciation, Boston, MA, St. Sophia, Albany, NY, and Holy Trinity, Westfield, NJ. For the past seven months, despite a very rigorous and demanding schedule, Father Leonids has offered his valuable experience to the Church in the Office of the Chancellor. After much thought and consideration, Father Leondis has requested of His Eminence to return to the parish ministry.Showing much love and concern, His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon has granted Father Leondis his request and offered him words of congratulations, thanks for his dedicated service to the Holy Archdiocese of America, and paternal blessings as he continues to minister to the people of this Archdiocese.
