Ecumenical Patriarch invites Archbishop Spyridon and Executive Committee

New York, NY - His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has invited His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon and the Executive Committee of the Archdiocesan Council to the Patriarchate from August 30-Sept.1st.
As preparations proceed for the Patriarchal visit to the United States from October 19-Nov. 17, 1997, His All Holiness has expressed a desire to personally meet with lay leaders from throughout the United States to discuss firsthand his hopes and expectations for the upcoming visit.
His All Holiness has also invited their attendance at the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George on Sunday, August 31 and the Service of Indiction, noting the beginning of the ecclesiastical year, on September 1st.
His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon expressed his appreciation for the invitation and the opportunity it afforded for the members of the Archdiocesan Council to visit the Patriarchate and meet with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
