Present at the Vespers, the Vigil of the beginning of the Great Lent for Orthodox Christians, were Cardinal Bernard Law, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston; Dr. Rodney Peterson, president of the Boston Theological Institute (BTI), of which Holy Cross is a full member, and the Rev. Dr. Diane Kessler, president of the Massachusetts Council of Churches. Participating in the Service were His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Aneon, Presiding Hierarch of the Diocese of Boston; His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Proikonisos, president of HC/HC , and the faculty and students of HC/HC.This most beautiful service in the Orthodox Church concludes as the faithful approach the celebrant and one another, asking mutual forgiveness.
