We often hear and speak of vision, said His is Eminence, but I ask you, is there any greater vision for our Archdiocese than to endow the Priesthood into the new millennium. We could share no greater goal. We could share no greater vision. The Archbishop announced that the Fund had already received over $200,000. This received an immediate reaction from several members of the Council with over $50,000 being pledged and a promise of more to come.In closing, His Eminence reiterated his earlier commitment to complete the Archbishop Iakovos Library by asking, What educational resource could be more valuable to Holy Cross, than the Archbishop Iakovos Library ....I pledge to you, that as Archbishop, I will lead the way to raise the funds necessary to complete not only this essential component of our Seminary, but this worthy tribute to my revered predecessor. The Library can, shall and must be completed, furnished, and endowed. It is a matter of vision for the future, and the legacy of the past.------------------------------------------------------------Archives of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America's press releases are available online at: www.goarch.org/goa/press_releases
