Exapostilarion of the 10th Gospel
t the Sea of Tiberias * did Peter with Nathaniel * also the sons of Zebedee * and two other disciples and Thomas of old go fishing. * At Christ’s command they let down * the net on the right side and caught * a great number of fish. Recognizing Him, * Peter sprang to meet Him. This was the third time * that He appeared to them, and showed * bread and fish on the charcoals.
Theotokion
ervently pray the Lord who rose * from the tomb on the third day, * O Virgin, on behalf of those * who sing your praises, Lady, and longingly call you blessed. * We have you as a refuge * where for salvation we all run, * and mediatrix with Him; for we are yours. * We are your inheritance and your servants, * O Theotokos, and we all * look to you for assistance.
Glory. Mode Pl. II.
fter Your descent into Hades and resurrection from the dead, Your disciples were disheartened as it were for being parted from You, O Christ our God. So unto working they turned once more, and unto the boats and the nets again, and nowhere was there a catch. But You, O Savior, when You appeared, as the Master of all things, did command the nets be cast on the right side of the boat. And straightaway Your word became a deed, and the quantity of the fish was great; and a strange banquet was ready on land. This very banquet of which Your disciples then partook, count us worthy also now to delight in spiritually, O Lord who love humanity.
