Exapostilarion of the 1st Gospel
Mode II. Original Melody
ith the disciples let us go * to Galilee, to the mountain, * and with the eyes of faith see Christ * saying He has been given * authority in earth and heaven. * Let us learn how He teaches * the way to baptize nations all * in the name of the Father and of the Son * and the Holy Spirit, and that He is with * His mystics even to the close * of the age, as He promised.
ith the disciples you rejoiced, * O Virgin Theotokos, * that you had seen your Son and Christ * from the grave resurrected * as He had said on the third day. * And He appeared and taught them * revealing things superior * and commanding to baptize in Father, Son, * and the Spirit, so that we might believe in * His resurrection from the dead * and glorify you, O Maiden.
Glory. Mode I.
hen the Disciples made haste and went to the mountain for His elevation from the ground, the Lord appeared unto them. And when they saw Him they worshipped Him. And they were told of the omnipresent authority He was given. Then they were sent abroad to preach in all the earth under heaven the resurrection from the dead and the restoration in the heavens. And He, being truthful, promised that He is with them eternally, as Christ our God and the Savior of our souls.
