Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA)
Established in 1960, SCOBA brings together the canonical hierarchs of the Orthodox jurisdictions in America. The purpose of the Conference is to make the ties of unity among the canonical Orthodox Churches and their administrations stronger and more visible. The hierarchs meet twice annually for discussions and decisions on matters of common concern.
Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting (EOCS)
The Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting [EOCS] was created in 1960 by the Standing Conference of Orthodox Bishops in the Americas, whose purpose is to conduct the mission of our Lord and His Church via the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts USA programs on a national level.
International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC)
IOCC was established by SCOBA in 1992 as the official humanitarian aid agency of Orthodox Christians to work in cooperaton with the Orthodox Churches worldwide. The mission of IOCC is to respond to the call of our Lord Jesus Christ, to minister to those who are suffering and are in need throughout the world, sharing with them God's gifts of food, shelter, economic self-sufficiency and hope.
Orthodox Christian Education Commission (OCEC)
The Orthodox Christian Education Commission is an agency of the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in America. It was founded in 1957 by a group of Orthodox theologians and educators as a forum to exchange ideas and to search for solutions to common educational problems. It currently aims to develop and publish educational material for and offers support services to Orthodox Christian Churches in North America.
Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF)
Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the official campus ministry effort under SCOBA. It is a Pan-Orthodox effort, overseen by an Executive Committee and aided by an eleven person Student Advisory Board. The office is located in Boston, MA where full time staff develops OCF and is here to guide and support local OCF chapters through communication with the larger Orthodox Community, the National Programs, and development of resources Orthodox college students can utilize.
Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC)
OCMC is part of a Pan-Orthodox program of Orthodox Missions and Evangelism under the auspices of SCOBA. It seeks to bring our Lord's message of salvation to all who thirst for the water of life.
Orthodox Christian Network (OCN)
The mission of the Orthodox Christian Network is to strengthen the Orthodox communities of America by using modern communications technologies - radio, the Internet, DVD's, podcasts, television and more - to inspire our faithful; raise up our children; call back our wayward; and reach beyond to our towns and cities.
Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM)
The Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry is here to love prisoners in the name of Jesus Christ, and to help them grow in the ancient faith. They welcome the participation of all Orthodox Christians who have a heart for those men and women who are behind bars. They seek the help of willing prison volunteers, mail correspondents, and prayer petitioners in bringing Christian teaching to those who seek to find comfort and faith in their present circumstances..
Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology, and Religion (OCAMPR)
OCAMPR exists to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and promote Christian fellowship among helping professionals in medicine, psychology and religion. Members pursue an understanding of the whole person which integrates the basic assumptions of medicine, psychology and religion with the Orthodox Christian faith in educating and serving Church and community
