Professional Development

The Direct Archdiocesan District Office of Education organizes various workshops throughout the school year offering in-service training to the teachers of the English programs of the parochial day schools. These workshops are funded by federal funds earmarked for this purpose. They are designed and implemented in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education and local institutions of higher learning.

In addition, the Direct Archdiocesan District Office of Education organizes, every year in November, an all-day Seminar for the all teachers serving in the parochial day and Greek afternoon schools of the District and the surrounding areas.
